HOMBRE- Men’s jewels by Natsuko Toyofuku and Algares by Alba Gallizia is an exhibition-event of men’s jewelry and accessories, a world in continuous expansion and growth in recent years, which is acquiring more and more success growing on the jewelry market. More and more people is asking artists and designers to have the opportunity to wear jewelry created ad hoc for a male audience, giving a contemporary connotation to these unique objects. The Algares brand founded by the designer Alba Galizia stands out for the use of ancient materials with a modern design. The idea is to enhance the heritage of historic Made in Italy processing, many of which are in danger of extinction. The HOMBRE collection is dedicated to men who appreciate accessories and jewels and look for objects that combine the beauty of an object designed and built with great care to the pleasure of being worn. In her design, Alba seeks the essentiality of shapes as an aesthetic value, paying great attention to the quality of materials, processing technique and environmental sustainability in the realization: all materials are in fact recyclable.
ABOUT NATSUKO TOYOFUKU
Natsuko Toyofuku’s atelier is located in the courtyard of a period building in Corso Como 9. Here today, as in a small art gallery, her jewels and table and wall sculptures in silver and bronze are collected. Cyclically, Natsuko hosts artists and designers who find the ideal environment to offer them to the Milanese and international public. This space was the studio of the sculptor Tomonori Toyofuku since the early 1960s.
