EXHIBITION: The Earth and humanity find themselves in a unique moment where nature and history intertwine. This period is marked by a continuous series of global events, such as climate changes, earthquakes, fires, floods, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and melting glaciers. Concurrently, violent conflicts and ethnic wars result in tragic massacres, often driven by economic, political, and dictatorial interests, as well as resource exploitation. These challenges coexist with societal trends promoting luxury, pleasure, aesthetics, and appearances. The VANITAS event explores this ephemerality through two contrasting perspectives. The ‘Vanity all is Vanity’ ring by Between the Twigs symbolizes life’s cycle, with the leaf representing birth, the flower growth, opal as Earth’s gem, and gold signifying wealth. In contrast, the skull serves as a reminder of mortality, marking the end of vanity.

“Between The Twigs” is a captivating space wholly devoted to jewelry and the crafting of collections, as well as the creation of bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces. Here, Silvia Bianchi, the visionary founder, curates a sensory journey to showcase her creations, engaging customers in the storytelling of each unique jewel. In 2021, the realization of her dream came to fruition with the opening of her showroom in the heart of Milan. The jewelry from “Between the Twigs” eloquently embodies the essence of life both above and below the sea, a testament to Silvia’s creative vision.
