EXHIBITION: Demaldè celebrates its first 80 years of activity in the historic Brera store and in the adjacent goldsmith workshop ‘Berti’ in the inner courtyard of Via Ponte Vetero 22 Milan. Spanning both locations, an extensive array of bijoux and jewelry from the Demaldè collection will be on display, representing pieces from the 1940s to the present day. This invites visitors on an insightful journey through the aesthetics of significant creations from each era, offering insights into the technical characteristics of the styles and typical materials of the various objects divided by decade. The Demaldè store is renowned as a significant destination for vintage jewelry and bijoux collectors, often described as “a miniature world of wonders”. Over recent decades, it has been further enriched by the addition of an extensive cufflinks collection. The historic goldsmith workshop “Berti” boasts three generations of craftsmanship in Milan. Inside, you can explore the original goldsmith’s tools that were once employed to create jewelry for a refined clientele, including the royal family of Savoy.
ABOUT
Demaldè, established in 1943, holds the distinction of being a historical shop and is commemorating its 80th anniversary in business this year. Resembling a miniature Wunderkammern, it houses an extensive assortment of vintage and contemporary bijoux and jewelry, spanning various types and eras, from its own production. Of particular note are the cufflinks, which constitute a one-of-a-kind collection in both Milan and Italy. The shop boasts numerous collaborations with renowned fashion magazines, theaters, cinema, and television.
