GALDUS
In collaboration with nearly 2,000 companies in the area, the Galdus vocational school provides training to more than 1,400 young people, preparing them for a career in 9 professionalizing sectors (catering, goldsmithing, green care and zoo, information technology and electrical and electronic systems, administration and event management).
The training course takes place over three years (which can be used starting after the eighth grade), at the end of which a qualification is obtained with the possibility of continuing the fourth year to obtain a technical-professional diploma and access to a high school diploma course or a higher technical specialization course at the university level lasting from one to three years. From the first year, a significant part of the school schedule consists of technical and laboratory training with professionals in the trade; from the second year, students carry out substantial internships in companies in various sectors both in Italy and abroad. Careful cultural preparation, testimonials from entrepreneurs, educational outings, and participation in events and competitions complete the course.
For young people between the ages of 15 and 25, Galdus offers the opportunity to earn a degree through a first-level apprenticeship, an employment contract that includes periods of training at school and on-the-job training in the company.
Ninety-three percent of the young people who came out of our activities this year found a positive placement in the world of work
