During the talk Konrad will introduce various editions about the development of 35 years of laboratory, the history of which will be told, from the small business to the goldsmith cooperative.

About the Speaker

Born in 1960 in Alto Adige, Italy, Konrad Laimer has been present in the jewelery sector since 1976. After an apprenticeship with Walter Erckert in Merano and the school for master goldsmiths in Bolzano, he attended the summer academy of jewelery and sculpture at prof. . e.r. Nele from Salzburg. 1987-1989 assistant at the summer academy for jewelry design at prof. e.r. Nele from Salzburg. Since the founding of his own studio in 1987 in South Tyrol, Italy, he has defined his work through thematic groups of works ranging from jewelry to objects and graphics. Through installations and multimedia works in exhibitions in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Milan, international workshops, he transfers his concepts to different artistic media and places. The Alps are his main source of inspiration; the region provides themes and materials.
