Dieuwke Raats is an independant jewelry designer and goldsmith working out of her studio in the town of Goor, the Netherlands. She combines traditional hand tool methods with contemporary methods. Her jewelry is an expression of her personal story. Her desire is to create a wearable reminder of a special moment, person or thought in someone’s life. And that someone is sometimes herself. Her design process is often process-driven but sometimes a personal story invites her to sketch first.
