Inclusions in gems have almost always been considered a defect. In reality, inclusions tell us the true story of the gem: they tell us where it was formed, when it was formed, how it got to us. The inclusions characterize a gem making it unique and recognizable from all the others. Finally, the inclusions are also beautiful.

In I.G.I. since 1995, graduated in Geological Sciences at the University of Milan and graduated from Gemmologist I.G.I., Loredana Prosperi is one of the pillars of the Italian Gemmological Institute. Years of experience in the field of analysis and training in the gemological field make her one of the most important figures in the sector on the Italian and international scene. You have published many scientific articles of a gemological and petrographic nature. President of the F.E.E.G. (Federation for European Education in Gemmology), from 2012 to 2017. President of the F.E.E.G. (Federation for European Education in Gemmology) from 2017 to 2012. President of the Lombard Mineralogical Group, from 2015 to 2018. Director of the Italian Gemologists Association since 1998. Member of the Scientific Committee of Assogemme.
