VALDO, historic winery of Valdobbiadene, founded in 1926 and owned by the Bolla family, will be the official Wine Sponsor of Milano Jewelry Week, participating in the Cocktail Party at Maddalena Rocco’s atelier with one of its most “precious” sparkling wines, Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG ORO PURO” which, for the occasion, will be dressed with a new label inspired by the ancient Venetian artisan tradition of goldsmiths and embroiderers. Visitors, toasting in the name of the author’s jewelry, will be able to meet the designer in person and see a fundamental part of the making of his creations, the one related to engraving.
ABOUT MADDALENA ROCCO
After completing her painting studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Maddalena Rocco entered the world of jewelry. Over the years she refines the burin engraving technique and collaborates with the most important jewelry brands. The artist puts the language of jewelry back into play, and an ancient technique such as the burin takes on a new formal connotation through the fragmentation of the image.
