Suzanne is currently a final year student at Stellenbosch University working towards her Bachelor in Visual Art (Creative Jewellery and Metal Design). Her research challenges consumer behaviour in the light of the Anthropocene, trough contemporary jewellery practices. Her art practice questions and challenges visual illusions, reality and behaviour through studying models and theories which influence consumer behaviour and the perceptual value of jewellery and plastic. In combining her theoretical research and practical design she examines desire, meaning, motivation and significance as it relates to consumerism, thereby challenging social behaviour and perceptions through her contemporary jewellery pieces.
