About the Speaker

Rebecca Di Filippo is an enameller from Milan and teacher of the Galdus Goldsmith School. She spent more than ten years working with enamel achieving full mastery of the technique on high jewelery, sacred furnishings and design. During this period she became passionate about the restoration of fire-enamelled objects. Rebecca learned the art of fired enamel from the best enamellers in the world including Gillie Hoyte Byrom for the art of miniature, Kyoko Iio, Japanese cloisonné master and Jean Zamora, from whom she learned the classic Limoges techniques, èmail peint and grisaille.
