Claire Erna Dhooge is currently a third-year student at Stellenbosch University working towards her Bachelor in Visual Art (Creative Jewellery and Metal Design). In April 2019 her contemporary piece, “Tulip Ring” was a finalist in the jewellery category in the 2019 South African PPC Cement Imaginarium Awards. Her research interest lies in contemporary design in which she prides herself as an authentic and manufacturing jewellery designer. Her art practice relies on jewellery as a medium through which she can visualize and discover her own interpretation of “truth”.
