In “Tempo Verticale” exhibition, during the Milano Jewelry Week, Haruko Ito’s “Gioielli Poetici” atelier is pleased to introduce you to the artist Simona Materi. waiting for you for the toast. “Our artistic research has many points in common – says Haruko Ito – and our lives meet every now and then, creating these special moments. My work – continues Haruko – focuses on Time: it lengthens, slows down, goes deeper. A second becomes almost eternal. They are pleasant and serene moments. I try to relive those unforgettable abstract moments and sensations through a concrete object to wear, as a part of our body and of our daily life”.
About Haruko Ito
Born in Japan, she graduated in Art and Design from Joshibi University in Tokyo. Her first works date back to the university period where she experimented with ceramic installations. After moving to Milan, she graduated in Sculpture at the Brera Academy. In 2010 she opened his “Poetic Jewelry” boutique in Milan. Her artistic research expresses the verbally indescribable sensation. Try to evoke “an eternal moment between here and elsewhere” through jewels.
