Maiju Ruotsalainen was born in 1994. She’s a second year student of Fine Arts at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, Faculity of Business and Culture. She graduated before as an Art Artisan and Dressmaker. Jewelry art is something she wantw to work with because of its bodily nature. Art that comes close to the body sends a strong message. She thinks that one of the most important things that art does is to take a stance on current situation in the world. Ecology and recycled materials are an important starting point for her work and even trash is part of her work.
