Nino Franchina was an Italian artist, designer and sculptor. At the age of twenty he exhibited for the first time at the III Exhibition of the Fascist Union of Fine Arts of Sicily, a regional exhibition that takes place in Palermo and to which he will constantly participate in the 1930s. In 1933, together with other Sicilian artists called to represent the region, he took part in the 1st Exhibition of the Fascist National Union of Fine Arts in Florence and the IV Regional Trade Union of Art in Catania. In the following years Franchina dedicated himself to monumental constructions and intensified his participation in national and international exhibitions. In 1975 he was given an anthological exhibition, curated by Enrico Crispolti, in the context of the VII Biennale of Metal Art in Gubbio.
