The competition wants to celebrate and show some of the most talented contemporary jewelry artists and brings the winners to Milan with their works. The competition addresses the issue of communication at 360 degrees: the jewel must know how to tell and present, conveying a message with a social character. The precious object thus becomes the witness of a story to be told, acquiring in addition to the intrinsic value of the work of art, also a high symbolic value. The communication of a thought requires, to be universally understood, a language where all cultures can dialogue through the multiplicity of cultural identities. A project aimed not only at enhancing the techniques of ancient crafts, but also at promoting and encouraging, through art and contemporary creativity, technology and innovation. The contest is promoted by the Cultural Association Incinque Open Art Monti, located in Rome and curated by the architect Monica Cecchini and by the artistic director Emanuele Leonardo, creators of the “storyteller jewel”.
